gingerbread: A bread or cookie made with molasses, brown sugar and ginger. Often cut into the shape of a man and decorated with icing and sprinkles. Also, gingerbread houses can be fashioned out of slabs of gingerbread, held together with icing and decorated with gum drops and other candies.

holly: A flowering shrub that features waxy green leaves and red berries and that is often incorporated into holiday decorations.
